The Coolios is an annual awards show presented by How Cool Is This? celebrating the coolest (and least cool) ideas and stories of the year. Winners will be announced in New York on Monday, February 27 at Stand Up NY.
One of the most prestigious categories every year is The Coolest Idea That Doesn’t Exist Yet, the award recognizing the coolest ideas for people with resources to make happen.
Here’s more information about this year’s nominees:
Debbie Ciralo: World Peace
While at the park soliciting strangers for ideas, we met Debbie Ciraolo who advocated that peace and harmony are both very cool. “It's not cool to have war, but it's real cool to have peace.”

Bob from Static Radio came up with an idea for a watch that doesn’t just tell time, but changes it within a small radius. “So let's say you're 10 minutes late, but you don't wanna be 10 minutes late. So you set your watch to be 10 minutes off time. Then whenever you walk in the room – bam! – all the clocks, all the watches, all the phones shift for those 10 minutes.”

Jade: Stop Judging
Jade wants us all to be a lot less judgmental, which is really tough when your job is to judge award nominees at The Coolios. “When you accept that everything is different and the beauty in that, you would actually ascend much higher, and people will be a lot happier.”

Jesse: Gulab Jamun Chocolate Bon Bon Bon
Jesse wants to introduce a new dessert to the world that he hopes will get people to explore different options. “It’s like a moulded chocolate, and people put ganache fillings in it. I’m going to steep gulab jamuns… and then I’m going to use that cream, strained out, to make the ganache.”
